Eugene wireless company expands West Coast presence: Silke Communications buys a Washington firm as part of its aggressive expansion strategy

Eugene-based Silke Communications has bought a Washington state company, County Communications, as part of its long-range plan to become a national wireless communications company. Terms of the deal, which was self-­financed, were not disclosed.

Silke has been on an aggressive growth path since Jim Silke Jr. took over as president in 2009. His father, Jim Silke Sr., founded the company in 1964 and is still actively involved in it.... <more>
